Jimmy Hutcheson is the CEO of Next Management Partners, a media and tech investment firm in LA. He is also the CEO of SPIN (formerly known as SPIN Magazine), the iconic music media company that celebrated its 35th anniversary. SPIN was acquired from Billboard in 2020.

Hutcheson's digital publishing company was acquired by the Maker Studios Founders in 2015. 

Among his accolades, Hutcheson's digital media networks were the first to syndicate premium television content for the Food Network and Travel Channel across the web.  Hutcheson is also the business partner of Time Inc's President, Rich Battista, in Snakkle.com, a digital media venture which has been featured in major media outlets including the Today Show, the Hollywood Reporter, Yahoo, Huffington Post, AOL and many more.

Hutcheson is an entrepreneur, advisor, and co-founder in several tech and media ventures in the marketing technology, advertising technology, e-commerce and digital media industries.  He is a YPO member.


BIOGRAPHY

Jimmy Hutcheson's digital publishing company, Hutch Media/ RumorFix, was acquired in 2015 by the Maker Studios Founders (Zealot Networks).  Maker Studios was the largest YouTube MCN and was acquired by Disney for $700MM in 2014.

As the SVP of Strategy & Monetization at Zealot, Jimmy led Strategy and Business Development efforts for Zealot Networks' digital publishing assets, including ViralNova.com, and the Marc Cuban-backed video ad tech firm, Allscreen. Responsibilities included spear-heading strategic growth initiatives, technology partnerships, ad ops, data integration, monetization, audience development, syndication, and strategic marketing.  Zealot's digital footprint grew to over 25MM uniques in Comscore on owned and operated sites.  Jimmy formed partnerships with some of the world's largest media brands, including Conde Nast, AOL, Scripps Networks, Time Inc and more.  

As founder and CEO of Hutch Media, Jimmy raised funding, built the client base, curated a seasoned team of executives, scaled revenues to tens of millions of dollars, and grew the audience to tens of millions of visits per month prior to its acquisition by Zealot Networks.  Hutch Media owned notable sites such as RumorFix.com, and generated a large library of original, digital content.  Boasting clients including major programmatic networks,  and major media companies like Conde Nast, Hutch Media's unique focus on digital video helped it become a very strong player in the online publishing industry. 

Jimmy currently serves as a Managing Member of Snakkle.com, a venture he co-leads alongside Rich Battista, the President of People & Entertainment Weekly magazines at Time Inc. 

From 2014-2015 Jimmy served on the Advisory Board of Affinity Networks, a mobile chat application started by Jeff Solomon, the co-founder of the notable Amplify accelerator in LA.

Jimmy served on the Advisory Board of nRelate, from 2010-2012 , which was acquired by IAC's Ask.com. 

Prior to launching Hutch Media in 2007, Jimmy was an advertising executive at RWB, working with major Fortune 500 clients such as Intel, VW, Herbalife, and Dow. While at the agency, Jimmy procured Toyota and Lexus as new clients. In his tenure at RWB, Jimmy worked under several legendary advertising executives, including Rod Campbell, founder of Campbell & Co., and Tom Kowaleski, former VP of Global Communications for BMW and for General Motors.

Jimmy earned his Bachelor of Science degree (Business Administration, minor in Marketing) from Pepperdine University. He serves on the Board of Saving Innocence, a non-profit, and the event committee of First Star, another non-profit. Jimmy grew up in the "Show-Me-State" (Missouri) and resides in Los Angeles.
